The Overland Park Soccer Club is a local recreational club that offers soccer to U6-U18 boys and girls. In 2006, OPSC and the KC Comets formed a partnership to offer special training for OPSC coaches and players, as well as giving them the opportunity to advance to the competitive level. Gino Schiraldi, director of the KC Comets, was also asked to serve as the Director of Coaching for the Overland Park Soccer Club. As the Director of Coaching, Gino works with the coaches during training sessions and coach’s clinics, as well as during games, providing feedback and encouragement. Both OPSC and Gino Schiraldi are dedicated to teaching the teachers of the game and through this affiliation will be able to develop more ways for players, coaches and families to learn and enjoy the game of soccer.
